Theatre Troupe Request

Dear FBISD Alumni Association,

I hope this posting finds you well. My name is Olivia Bivins and I am a senior at Thurgood Marshall High School in Missouri City, Texas. At Marshall HS, I am President of our campus theatre troupe for young thespians. Our troupe is made of about eight students and has membership in the International Thespian’s Society, a distinguished network of performers and educators around the world. Over the upcoming weeks, our organization is looking to cover a total of $5,500 for our troupe’s collective registration at the annual Texas Thespian’s Convention in Dallas, Texas this November. At this convention, students such as myself use our talents and creativity to compete with other performers from around the state for scholarships and awards. The convention also provides us with opportunities to train with professional performers and gain the exposure necessary to advancing our skills and potential careers.
